You may notice from our one day “header” redesign that today is a cause for celebration! It is our 100th Post! When we started broke professionals we knew nothing about blogging other than we loved reading personal finance blogs.
In the 3 short months since then our blog has really grown and we are so thankful to all of our readers, who are always so willing to contribute to the site, spread the word, and reach out to us via email. We have a milestone in our personal lives upcoming as well, as soon we will be closing on our first home. We still have a ton of debt (actually more on the way now), but we are going to keep trying to pay it down. Thanks for joining us on the journey, we’re certainly not going to run out of ideas any time soon.
We thought it would be nice for our 1ooth post to highlight our 25 favorite personal finance posts from other sites thus far in the first quarter of 2011. So, here they are.

Happy anniversary. That’s a great milestone.
Thanks for the mention, I seem to be in good company.
You are in the best company I can hand select anyway, lol.
Congrats on your 100th post, you guys sure got there fast! I like your header redesign, it looks better than the black.
Thanks very much for the mention, I feel selfish now that I highlighted our own articles in a “Best Of” for our 100th post
Have a great weekend!
The fact that we update daily and sometimes more sped us along pretty quick. We didn’t count non-substantive posts, or else this would have been our 130th post. Little mini posts linking back to guest posts at other sites, etc., seemed cheap to count and do not go into our archives. Header is going after today.
Thanks for the mention!
Nice milestone, and nice roundup. Glad to be a part of it!
Nice header change! Brighter. Congrats on post 100!
I’m getting nervous now, this is the second time someone has commented that our regular header is too dark. I think the current one is a little to happy for a blog about getting out of six figures in student loan debt. I may need a header redesign.
We changed it again, hopefully this one is good for a long time.
Thanks for the mention BP
Keep up the awesome work SPF!
You guys have blown up in this short time! You definitely put out quality material and come up with very creative ideas!
Thanks a lot Khaleef, as you know we enjoy all your work very much.
Congrats. It is time to celebrate if you have stuck with blogging regularly this long. What a great idea for your post and thanks for including one of my articles. I agree with Khaleef too. You have done an excellent job in such a short time and your articles are top notch.
